Tentative OPENING CEREMONIES PARADE: at Winged Deer Park
TEAM BANNER OR STATE FLAG: Each team will need to carry a banner or a state flag. The athletes carrying the flag or banner will lead their team onto the field once their name is called. Once you have paraded onto the field and placed in your designated spot, please have the flag or banner in the front so the audience will be able to see your team’s emblem.
DRESS: We do not require athlete’s and coaches to wear full uniform. Our request is that each player wear matching jerseys and coaches plus other staff wear similar shirts as well. Shorts and tennis shoes will be fine.
PIN TRADING: Pin Trading has become a tradition at USSSA events, players will have an opportunity to trade pins during the skills competition and team social. Team pins are not mandatory, but certainly adds to the fun of this special event. We encourage each team to bring some small item to trade. We suggest that you contact your local Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureaus or other community businesses in your area about obtaining items to trade.
REGISTERING FOR COMPETITIONS: Our goal is that every athlete participates in at least one event. However, we ask that athletes do not participate in more than one competition, aside from the Diamond Run, due to the number of athletes that will participate as a whole. We ask that coaches pre-register their athletes at registration. We will have a sign-in sheet at the entrances of each field. Your athletes will need to sign in when they arrive and our staff will use this form as the order of participation. (Example: if your John Doe signs in first, he will be the first athlete to participate,)
SOUVENIRS: Souvenirs will be on sale until 8:00 p.m.
SEATING: Some bleachers will be available, lawn chairs encouraged.
