Your team must be signed up on usssa.com and premier sports by July 6, 2010 and entry paid online at www.usssa.com.
Your State Director will then forward your World Series Transmittal to World Series Headquarters by July 7, 2010 to guarantee participation in the World Series. Team entry fee for this five (5) game guarantee World Series is $555.00.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All player's first names, middle names, last names, and birth dates must appear on the roster as they do on the Birth Certificates (see USSSA Rule 3.07). Failure to comply with this rule will result in your team being prohibited from participating in the USSSA World Series! Team Credentials will be checked in at the USSSA World Series with photocopies of Original Birth Certificates or Approved USSSA ID.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All players participating in USSSA Baseball World Series play shall have photocopies of their Original Birth Certificates or Approved USSSA Photo ID in the possession of their team manager AT ALL TIMES. Failure to have a photocopy of the Original Birth Certificate or Approved USSSA Photo ID available upon demand will result in the offending team losing the game, being ejected from the World Series, being placed last in the standings and forfeiting all awards that would have been awarded at the World Series. Any player can play in a higher age classification but cannot play in a lower age group.
1. Player eligibility in the Scholastic Divisions will be as prescribed by the USSSA Handbook.
2. Bases will be 70’ for 11U/12U,
3. All players must be fully uniformed, which includes the following: Pants, socks, cap, and team shirt with numbers that are non-duplicating and at least three inches in height.
4. Managers and coaches must wear a baseball cap with team insignia and will be properly dressed. (Coaches may wear coaches' shorts).
5. While in the field, as a defensive player, team caps must be worn.
6. Protest on uniforms will not be allowed. It shall be the Tournament Directors responsibility regarding uniform legality. Violation of the uniform rule will result in the violator being allowed to conform or be removed from the game.
7. Metal spikes are prohibited in age groups 5-12.
8. A full-use batting helmet which covers the top and back of the head and the side of the face must be worn by every player while in the on deck circle, when at bat and while on the bases.
9. All bat boys/girls will wear full-use batting helmets when their team is at bat.
10. The catcher must wear protective gear: Mask, chest protector, shin guards, protective cup, catchers helmet and throat guard. Ages 7-12: Catchers must wear helmet that fully covers their ears.
11. All rules and rules of play not specifically covered herein shall be governed by the
USSSA BASEBALL NATIONAL BYLAWS & RULES.

* Players will be timed on their speed from home plate to home plate. * Each participant will be given 1 attempt. The TOP 5 fastest single times will be determined and those 5 will have a run off. The winner of the run-off will be declared the fastest runner and Lou Brock Champion.
* Participants will start in the batter box as a righty!
* Time will start on the whistle and will stop when he touches home plate.
* FAILURE TO TOUCH HOME PLATE OR ANY BASE WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THAT ATTEMPT. Do not miss a base!!!!

Eight (8) or nine (9) players will compete from each team in this contest (pitcher optional). Each base must be tagged. Teams will BE GIVEN THIER TIME AT CHECK IN. No passing will be allowed. TEAMS GET 2 ATTEMPTS. (Players may tag base with glove or any part of the body!) |
- The PITCHER throws the baseball to the CATCHER. (The team's time begins when the CATCHER tags home plate and releases the baseball.) If the catcher misses home plate, time begins when the baseball is released + a 5 second penalty is assessed.
- The CATCHER must throw the ball to the THIRD BASEMAN tagging third base.
- The THIRD BASEMAN must throw the ball to the SECOND BASEMAN tagging second base.
- The SECOND BASEMAN must throw the ball to the FIRST BASEMAN tagging first base.
- The FIRST BASEMAN must throw the ball to the CATCHER tagging home plate.
- The CATCHER must throw the ball to the SHORTSTOP tagging second base.
- THE SHORTSTOP must throw the ball to the RIGHT FIELDER tagging the outfield spot in right field and throwing the ball to the SECOND BASEMAN tagging second base.
- THE SECOND BASEMAN must throw the ball to the CENTER FIELDER who must tag the outfield spot in centerfield and throw the ball to the THIRD BASEMAN tagging third base.
- THE THIRD BASEMAN must throw the ball to the LEFT FIELDER who must tag the outfield spot in leftfield and throw the ball to the CATCHER covering home plate. (The team's time ends when the CATCHER tags home plate.)
- A five second penalty will be assessed for each umpire-assisted overthrow and each missed base including home plate

World Series Details
USSSA Baseball uses a pool play / bracket play format in its World Series. Teams will be seeded in pools by USSSA Points where they will play a round robin. Following pool play teams will be re-seeded into the double elimination championship bracket or single elimination consolation bracket based on pool play results. The exact format, (e.g., number of pools, quantity of teams in each pool, etc.), will be set by the World Series Tournament Director following USSSA Baseball Guidelines and being approved by the USSSA Baseball National Director. Teams are guaranteed five (5) games.
Teams securing a USSSA World Series berth must play in the State Championship Tournament in their home state to validate their berth. Contact your USSSA BASEBALL STATE DIRECTOR for information regarding State Championship Tournaments in your home state.

Note: Pin Trading has become a tradition at USSSA World Series events, players will have an opportunity to trade pins during the opening ceremony Monday and the skills competition (Wednesday). Team pins are not mandatory but certainly adds to the fun of this special event. We encourage each team to bring some small item to trade. We suggest that you contact your local Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureaus or other community businesses in your area about obtaining items to trade.

Team Check-In will be Monday, July 12, 2010 from 9am-1pm. This is the only time teams may check-in. Team Credential
Admission
Admission during the tournament will be $7.00 per person per day or $25.00 for a tournament pass. For children (6-12) the charge will be $5.00 or $15.00 for a tournament pass. This charge includes everyone except players and team coaches. A maximum of 3 coach passes will be issued.
